Wonderful experience today at the Edward A. Dixon Art Gallery. david matthews poet, author and musician shared some of his insightful, emotional and thought provoking poetry. It was quite a touching performance. I am so glad we didn’t miss it.

This poet from Dayton has been compared to Paul Lawerence Dunbar and many of the greats from Ohio like Nikki Giovanni. dave read some passages from his new book and answered questions from the audience. This event was held at the Ed Dixon Art Gallery downtown Dayton.

Featuring one of our own Dayton natives, a true Poetry Class Act. I am proud of you and Hsanni for your hard work to continue the journey. The challenge doesn’t matter anymore. It’s the voice who speaks for others, who can’t speak for themselves. Hsanni, you were a lovely host.
